feelingchatty
This blog is for anyone feelingchatty about any issue. It can be anything from sports, music, current events, technology, politics, television (primetime or daytime), video gaming, computers, etc.
When I first discovered the internet around 1990, I was right out of high school and entering my first year of college. I was a BIG soap fan. Now, the genre is almost dead and for good reasons. The powers that be ( TIIC - the idiots in charge is more accurate but thats another blog)are obsesses with tricks, promoting favorite actors and actresses, catering to who they preceive are "vocal" fanbases. I haven't watched a soap opera in four years now. I grew up on soaps. My mom and my sisters and I watched everything from The Edge of Night, Guiding Light, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Santa Barbara, and to the last soap I watched was One Life to Live. Ironically, I do miss watching. But, I can't invest in any show again. There are too many politics behind the scenes that affect stories on the screen. The idiots in charge (TIIC) cater to outspoken fanbases instead of telling great stories and putting together couples and characters with natural, not forced chemistry. The shows became plot driven, instead of character driven. OLTL, really made me loose faith in the genre totally. The people that run that show are idiots to the core.
Anyway, I'm off the box right now. Currently, I'm uploading Santa Barbara and a few OLTL clips that I saved over the years to my youtube page. I will post the link for that page. Again, feel free to chat about anything you like and ask my any questions.

Are you still into your soap operas? I thought you kicked it. I like old movies or movies set back in the day. I wanted to watch Bonanza online but I couldn't find any.
ReplyDeleteWell, I should really be doing something constructive but I am not. LOL
Peace and Blessings
No, I haven't watched in years. I have a very bitter taste in my mouth about soaps these days. Reasons too long to into right now.
ReplyDeleteYou can watch Bonanza on TVland or go to fancast.com.
Thanks for joining. Just you and me for now. LOL
Okay, I will go back when I get time and try again. You know I am a bit slow on stuff like this. Right now,my child has 2 friends in here. I try hard to keep them outside cause I am never up for a bunch of little people. LOL
